I Finished My First Year of College!!!
Well everyone, I'm happy to announce that I'm out of school for the year. My finals almost made me go crazy this semester, but luckily I think I managed to pass. So on to the update for May! Thus far, the site hasn't had much done to it, seeing as how I've been swamped with school and my Mods have also been busy. But with school being out, I will now personally see to the updates and overhaul the site needs. Our webmaster Sev graciously started another server, but at the moment it is only accessible through the Shoutcast website. I'll be working on fixing the "Listen Now" link to accurately allow all servers.
I'll also be working on filling in the missing "Staff" page as well as updating the older information in the other pages. Lastly, I know the donation panel has said we we're empty for a month, but some people did donate. I would like to personally thank and apologize to those who did. Your donations help keep the station running, and I will try my best to keep the updates more...well up to date in the future.

First of all, on behalf of everyone at AAR and myself, I'd like to thank those that have donated. Sunday night was exceptional with over $149 donated. It's simply beyond words... Thank you. Our fearless leader Valkan was stunned beyond words... The top donation list will be updated soon, promise!
Second, there's be a few changes to the site in trying to get things working a little smoother. First and most obvious, the 'now playing' list has been moved to the top. There is an issue with Internet Explorer 6.x displaying this correctly. IE7, Firefox, and Safari have been confirmed to be working ok thus far. In addition, the java chat has been upgraded, try it out and let us know what you think. It's a slight change, and it's not the final change for it, but the core changes are there. There is now a link for the chat in the upper navigation. Also, there is now an "updates" page to keep track of what is going on. From now on, site updates will be listed there, as known issues. Thank you to all the listeners for the awesome support and patience while we get everything smoothed over. As always, keep it tuned to AAR!
I'd also like to give a shoutout for last night's DJ's. We've had some of the highest listener counts in awhile, and an amazing amount of donations. In addition, Amortech DJ'd for over 10 hours straight! Thanks both Amortech & Tak. (And Atron, he's been doing the vast majority of the DJing up to this point!

Sorry for the delay in this post, as I'm sure all or most of you have noticed issues with the site for the past... well awhile. The issue is the new webmaster that was working on rebuilding the site has been MIA for approximately 2 months. We've been trying to get the site working correctly and appreciate your patience in the matter. The database issues that were showing up (such as now playing) have been corrected, the forum is back online (was taken down to perform backups and other site maintenance). Valkan is doing his best to get everything running smoothly again. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, ect... please drop a line in the forums or join the IRC (linked to right, or #aar @ irc.rizon.net).

A New Look

Well, it's happened (albeit an hour or two late). Welcome to the new AAR!At first glance, there aren't any new links or content that wasn't present on the old site. Everything has been re-coded from the ground up, though, making it much easier for us to work with and maintain the site. And keep an eye out for new features as the month goes on! Comments and suggestions are welcome -- just visit the forum to guide us as we continue to update the main site!

Requests: Listeners must register to -Anime Academy Radio Forums- to use Live Request features on this site. If not, please request using our IRC channel at #AAR@IRC.RIZON.NET.
Anime Academy Radio is a 'purely' non-profit organization (meaning nobody here is paid). In fact, in addition to donations we still extra pay out of our own pockets to provide this service at a loss. We do this from heart for the fans and in an effort to open up other parts of the world to Asian music. We hope everyone can understand this and will continue to support us and help us grow.
