About Us
Founded in the summer of 2001 as a small garage shop radio, Anime Academy Radio has expanded into an international radio network broadcasting worldwide. Our organization is purely non-profit, meaning we only continue to run as long as donations permit. All donations are used to cover our rent and servers. Our staff members are all fully voluntary and are composed of a virtual team located throughout the world. Our main centers of operation are located in Seattle, WA (United States) and Chicago, IL (United States).

Our radio broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, playing a mix of Anime, Asian and Game music. Not only do we play the best of today's hits, but also the best from yesterday as well. Our music genre is mainly easy listening and targeted for fans of Anime and Asian pop music. Our weekly broadcasts also feature shows with live DJs loaded with a variety of talk and interactive activities for listeners.

Mission Statement
While Anime Academy Radio may be best known for bringing you the best in Anime music, don't let our name fool you. We also are the number one radio network for bringing you the best in Asian music and constantly strive to show the world the best and newest Asian music from Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Our mission extends beyond just playing music for your everyday lives, but also creating a fun and interactive environment for listeners as well.

Opportunities
Anime Academy Radio is always looking for volunteer help as we have lots of work, but not enough help to accomplish it all. We are currently looking for any sort of help in the following categories:

  - Advertising/Marketing
  - Artists (Graphic Design)
  - Developers/Programmers
  - Human Resources
  - Music Researchers/Taggers
  - Radio Moderators
